A Fine and wonderful Yokuts treasure bottleneck basket

The basket is decorated with a beautiful polychrome design representing diamond back rattlesnakes in bands on the body and framed good luck symbols of rolling logs going around the sides and shoulder. The good luck symbol occurred after contact with the Europeans. Red Yarn is going around the edge of the shoulder, and a star is woven on the bottom. Circa 1910. The tag on the bottom is dated 1927.
