Wintun

Wintu...
The Wintu territory covered parts of what are now Trinity, Shasta, Siskiyou, and Tehama counties. The area is just north of Redding, California and it stretched just south of Redding.

The Wintu primarily used hazel shoots for the warp rods, but willow, skunkbush, and poison oak have also been reported. They use twining and lattice work for their basketry.
